Construction Phases:

  • first construction phase
    (October 1999 - June 2000)
    Laboratory, workshop and office space:
    Gross floor area: 7,925m²
    (of which 4,400m² available to let)
    Main tenants at the time were ECHEM/CEST (Competence Center for Electrochemistry)

  • second construction phase
    (May 2002 - March 2003)
    Gross floor area: 4,700m²
    (2,800m² available to let)
    Main tenant at the time was AC²T (Austrian Competence Center for Tribology)

  • laboratory openings and annex:
    March 2008 saw the grand opening of the TFZ annex; opening of the Competence Center for Tribology surfaces research laboratory, FAC²TS
    Gross floor area: 500m²
    (340m² available to let)

  • third construction phase
    (summer 2009 - summer 2010)
    Additional annex for laboratory and workshop space; space was created for an additional 150 scientists
  • fourth construction phase
    (winter 2010 - winter 2011)
    Additional annex for laboratory and workshop space (4,300m²) will be built
    (Oktober 2011  - June 2012)
     Additional annex for laboratory and workshop space (1,300m²) will be built
