Lebenshilfe Lower Austria is an interest group working on behalf of the mentally and physically disabled. The organization originated as a self-help group and it continues to devote itself to lobbying for the rights of the disabled and their integration in society. Lebenshilfe Lower Austria's headquarters are located at the TFZ.

MedAustron is in the process of realizing the Austrian Cancer Research Center for Ion Therapy project. The center will be engaged in both clinical and non -clinical research. The center is currently in the planning phase and is scheduled to commence trial operations in 2013.

The main tasks of PEG MedAustron include the planning and organization of non-clinical research for the MedAustron project. An additional duty involves initiating start-up financing for non-clinical research and monitoring the subsequent use of these funds.
